Believe it or not, dizziness is the second most common complaint to a doctor after back pain, and Laurie Livingston, PT knows this firsthand. She has lived with vestibular migraines and Meniere’s Disease since 1999. Because of this, she has a genuine personal interest and has researched and studied how to treat balance and vestibular issues. Laurie knows physical therapy is an extremely effective way to treat and control dizziness and balance issues. She developed her own rehabilitation program to regain her quality of life when traditional medicine wasn’t enough. From there, she and Marianne Keller developed Ohio Vestibular and Balance Center Inc.
Marianne asked Laurie one day, “If dizziness and imbalance is such a common problem, why aren’t we treating it?” That was all it took. With a common interest and desire to help others with similar issues, Marianne and Laurie saw that the clinic developed and took shape as a premiere facility for the treatment of balance and dizzy disorders. Our state-of-the-art, high tech equipment allows us to test and localize the problem areas. From there, a treatment plan and goals are developed. Utilizing that same equipment and much more, our plan of action is implemented. Periodic rechecks are helpful in establishing progress and implementing new goals throughout the process. We work as a team — Shelby, PTA, Marianne, PTA and Laurie, PT, along with our office staff to assist you in achieving your goals.
Laurie’s own battle with dizziness and imbalance allows her and the staff to treat patients with compassion and care. Who better to help you than someone who understands?
